Issaquah Cooperative Preschool (ICP) will begin our school year virtually with the guidance of Bellevue College Parent Education Program. We will continue reevaluating the situation and will work towards having more in-person class time as the school year progresses and it becomes safe to do so.
ICP 3’s Preschool Class -Virtually
ICP Pre-K Class- Virtually
We are excited to provide an enriching virtual preschool experience using a play-based education philosophy. Our goal is to have the preschoolers develop a love of learning. Families will pick up monthly material to help make our virtual classes feel more like in-person class.
▪ Children’s Virtual Gathering Time ( 30-60 minute sessions weekly): Students will meet with their teacher and a classmates via zoom for active singing, games, sharing opportunities, language arts activities, math, art, science projects and stories.. We will leave each class with an opportunity to work on a project on their own or with minimal help from parents.
▪ Children’s Curriculum Emails (1 email weekly): Teacher Steffeny will compile a weekly email with a themed, age appropriate curriculum for our preschoolers.
▪ Group Parent Education Class (1 evening session monthly): Virtual group meeting for adults only with the Parent Educator these will have focused instruction and discussion on a specific topic such as helping children cope with big emotions, positive discipline, etc.
▪ Individualized Parent Education (ongoing): Opportunities for 1-on-1 meetings with the Parent Educator to discuss specific concerns, worries, and goals you have for you and your child.
